The God Who is Here
God, you are the one who has been with me all along. Though people fail me, and though I am not all I need to be for others, you are the God who remembers, the God who is here.
You are here in my relationships.
You are here in the relationships I long for.
You are in my failures, covering me with grace and mercy.
You are in my fears, helping me stand.
You are in my dreams, giving them shape and making them matter.
You are in my thoughts, directing me as I go.
You are in the thoughts I don’t yet have, longing to do more in my life.
You are here. In this moment. Always.
Help me be more continually aware of your ongoing presence and open my eyes to see you at work all around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
