Even though prayer should be a natural, personal conversation between God and his people, there are times when others have put into words exactly what our hearts are trying to say. It seems fine to use prayers that other people have spoken or written, so long as they are joined with our own hearts and intentions.
After all, People in the bible and those who wrote the bible did this all the time.

Here’s an idea: if you are leading a group, feel free to change the wording of these prayers from the first person singular “I” and “me” to the plural “we” and “us”.
